Characteristic
PPS-hb is high rigidity crystalline polymer that offers high-temperature resistance, innoxious, flame resistance, radiation resistance, solvent resistance, electrical insulation, arc resistance, low water absorption, low mold shrinkage, good dimensional stability and radiation resistance. Its brittle. Therefore, it needs to be modified by some modifier.
Applications
Owing to its high performance, it's widely used in medical, electronic/electric industry. Such as: rotproof sealed appliances, plugs, and contactors. It can be modified by different modifiers to make different PPS compounds.

Processing Conditions
Its suitable for extrusion molding, injection molding or compression molding.
1. Pre Drying:
Temperature: 100~105oC
Time: 3hr
2. Injection molding:
1) Mold: 60~80 degree centigrade
2) Cylinder temperature: Zone 1: 220~260oC
Zone 2: 290~310oC
Zone 3: 300~320oC
Nozzle: 290~300oC
3) Injection pressure: 60~70MPa
4) Injection speed: Medium speed
5) Injection time: Depend on the sizes of articles
6) Post processing: Depend on the sizes of articles
Processing temperature: 160~180oC
Processing time: 4~8hr
3. Compression molding:
1) Temperature: 340~370oC
2) Time: 10~15min
3) Pressure: 7~10Mpa
4) Heat time: 2~3hr
5) Demoulding temperature: Natural cooling to normal temperature
